Job Title: Web Designer / Web Content Specialist
 
 Location: Onsite – NMIC, Suitland, MD (National Capital Region)
 Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI Required
 
 Position Overview:

Oran Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Web Designer / Web Content Specialist to support the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI). The ideal candidate will maintain classified and unclassified websites, format and convert documents for web publication, and support digital dissemination of intelligence products. This position is full-time and onsite at the National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC) in Suitland, MD within a SCIF environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain, update, and administer ONI’s classified and unclassified websites using HTML and SharePoint.

Convert Microsoft Word documents into validated HTML/XML for web publishing.

Ensure all content meets formatting, classification, and dissemination standards.

Upload and manage documents and products on internal and external sites.

Execute minor web updates using HTML/CSS and basic JavaScript for interactive elements.

Layout intelligence products for digital dissemination in compliance with IC branding and accessibility guidelines.

Support metadata tagging and XML validation per Intelligence Community (IC) standards (training provided as needed).

Coordinate with analysts and production teams to meet posting deadlines (typically within 4 hours of product approval).

Conduct periodic customer surveys and usage feedback analysis.

Collaborate with graphic designers and other content specialists as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in Web Design, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred but not required).

OR equivalent work history and technical certifications in lieu of a degree.

2–4 years of experience with:

Web content management and site administration (HTML, SharePoint).

Adobe Dreamweaver or similar HTML/XML editors.

Microsoft Word layout design for web and digital conversion.

HTML and CSS for static and dynamic web content.

Familiarity with SharePoint content admin and user roles.

Strong attention to detail, especially regarding formatting, metadata, and classification requirements.

Deadline-driven with ability to post and publish within a 4-hour approval window.

Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Experience working in secure government environments (SCIF).

Preferred Qualifications:

Adobe Certification (e.g., Dreamweaver) or SharePoint training.

Familiarity with IC metadata standards and XML validation.

Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro.

Some video editing or digital integration experience.

Additional Information:
 
This is a 100% onsite role at NMIC in Suitland, MD.
 
All candidates must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC) and must pass the required background screening.
 
TS/SCI clearance is required due to the sensitivity of the content and working environment.
