Sr. Software Engineer (JavaScript, TypeScript)

Description:

The selected candidate will work on product development to deliver new accelerated features for Healthy Benefits+ 2.0 for potential large clients, as part of a team that includes a product manager, designers, developers, and a QA.
You will build and consume RESTful API endpoints and asynchronous events to implement business logic. You will be responsible for building reusable code and libraries across the team and technology stack. Your work will involve developing software and processes that safely and securely handle customers' health and financial data.
You will collaborate within and across teams to ensure alignment towards common goals and communicate effectively with team members through design reviews, code reviews, and daily collaboration.
You will also work to improve the current tech stack.

Requirements:

Required: 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience and 3+ years of experience with JavaScript.
Experience with Typescript and Node.js.
Experience building and consuming API endpoints (REST, AMQP, GraphQL), implementing testable business logic that is secure and easy to maintain, operating event-driven services, deploying to cloud-based environments such as AWS, building and maintaining 3rd-party integrations, leveraging message brokers and event streams (e.g., AWS SNS, SQS, Azure ServiceBus or similar), and operating in high security environments such as payments or healthcare.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
