Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Oracle Web Applications Developer for our client, a major west coast public pension fund in Sacramento, CA! This is a hybrid (2 days onsite a week) role, and a 12 month contract!
 
 Perks:

• Long term contract with the ability to work from home 60% of the time

• Rate range is $80-90/hr, depending on experience

What you will be doing:

• Development of Oracle based web applications in cloud environment
• Writing and enhancing complex SQL queries
• Building enterprise applications with Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Batch and Web Services
• Lead requirements gathering and design meetings, as well as peer code reviews.

What you will need:

• 15+ years of Oracle web application development, enhancement, and support; ensuring optimal SQL performance in a complex setting
• 15+ years facilitating joint application requirements and joint applications design meetings as part of the SDLC
• 15+ years of Java, J2EE, and JavaScript experience
• 10+ years writing and enhancing SQL queries
• Expertise in design and code peer reviews
• Experience with Spring framework, MVC architecture, Spring Batch and Spring Web Services
• Experienced with tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, ServiceNow, and Eclipse IDE
• Experience developing applications in AWS or Azure
• Experience in government programs is highly preferred; particularly in retirement or health programs
