Position Summary

Guggenheim is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Loan Services team. This individual will report to the Senior Managing Director of Loan Services and manage the Account Control & Analysis (“ACA”) team, with responsibilities including, but not limited to, all aspects of bank loan portfolio account maintenance, audit, and vendor payee management accounts within the account scope of the Loan Services Operations team. The position requires close interaction with various parties across the firm including traders, credit analysts, and legal team members as well as third party administrative agents and external data vendors. This role will involve working in a dynamic team environment and presents opportunities to utilize interpretation and problem-solving skills in support of the team’s objectives and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of bank debt and fixed income securities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for on-boarding, off-boarding, and account maintenance for bank loan portfolios which includes coordinating with middle and back offices
• Host weekly meetings with operational teams on bank loan account updates
• Assist the Client Service Support team with bank loan inquiries
• Serve as liaison between Administrative Agents and Custodians
• Oversee vendor OFAC screening, FATCA and call-backs for third party payments for all of GI including Private Funds, BDC, SPVs, CLOs, and Military Housing
• Oversee and coordinate process for vendor 1099 reporting for Private Funds, CLOs and SPVs
• Assist various teams with bank loan audit inquiries and provide support to ensure a successful bank loan audit
• Assist and oversee bank loan reporting for both internal and external parties
• Work with Administrative Agents and various internal teams on bank loan tax withholding breaks
• Monitor DTTP status for bank loan clients
• Oversee bank loan tax reclaim process
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of tax withholding breaks in WSO and BRS
• Monitor and notify Relationship Manager, GI Tax Ops, Fund Accounting, and Sector Manager of non claimable bank loan tax withholdings
• Maintain list of cash accounts open at Trustee for Private Funds and CLOs
• Review and approve WSO application entitlement requests
• Quarterly reviewal of access and entitlements for bank loan related applications and folders

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• At least 4-6 years of bank loan related experience is required
• Knowledge of Wall Street Office and/or Aladdin strongly preferred
• Organized, detail oriented and extremely thorough with strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative
• Demonstrated ability to design, document and implement processes that improve the accuracy and timing of work products and business activities
• Must be able to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Team oriented individual with ability to work well with diverse groups
• Able to translate between technical and business leaders at the highest levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to collaborate with internal teams and external parties and service providers

Basic Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience in investment management or financial services environment
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced and challenging environment

Salary Range
 
Annual base salary between $125,000.00-$135,000.00
 
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
