 We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Intern, IT Quality Assurance on our Information Technology team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.
 
 The IT Quality Analyst Intern will help perform structured and comprehensive end-to-end testing of internal and external software. Assists in the execution of system test plans in support of user acceptance test plans. Documents software defects.
 
 RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Discovery
 
Assists in maintenance of test strategies, test procedures, test cases, and referencing/ traceability documents.
Enters test asset information into appropriate repositories.
Assists in the usage of automated testing tools when appropriate to record reusable test scripts from testing documentation.
Assists in manual structured testing, as needed.
 
Test Execution 

  • Helps evaluate recorded script results and enter defects into defect management tool.
  • Assists in execution of regression tests.
  • Participates in full user acceptance testing and regression testing for each release of critical software and application-specific projects.

QA Documentation 

  • Participates in requirements and test case review sessions.
  • Follows all QA policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Contributes to maintaining library of documentation around results from each test.

Quality Assurance 

  • Contributes to maintaining central test case and defect management repositories and follows related processes and procedures.
  • Establishes appropriate liaison relationships with AMA and outsourced consulting teams to ensure adherence to AMA standards.

May include other responsibilities as assigned
 
 REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and will be entering sophomore, junior, or senior year in fall 2025 required
  • Hands on experience creating and testing programs required
  • Experience with end-to-end testing of internal and external software preferred
  • Experience with execution of system test plans in support of user acceptance test plans preferred
  • Experience with documenting software defects preferred
  • Experience with MS Office, Teams required
  • Experience with Jira helpful

This role is a non-exempt position and the hourly range for this position is $20.50-$30.00. This is the lowest to highest rate we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
