JOB SUMMARY:

We are hiring an experienced Technical Producer for a tech-forward corporate event with focus on interactive attendee activations in the space. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for AI innovations and a deep understanding of interactive attendee experiences and implementing user interface within activations.

As a client-facing technical lead, you will own the end-to-end process of making interactive activations functional and immersive. You will work closely with the Technical Director and Executive Producer and team, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure activations transition smoothly from concept and design to fully operational engagement. You will work closely with client workstream leads and vendors to ensure all IT function and connectivity is optimal throughout all experiences.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for AI, interactive technologies, and emerging trends—who thrives on bringing ambitious creative concepts to life through seamless technical execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT/technical needs related to program activations, immersive experiences, and event experiences infrastructure (FOH/BOH).
• Collaborate with creative, production, vendor, and client teams to assess feasibility and translate concepts into workable, interactive technical solutions.
• Oversee the planning, tracking, and execution of IT components across event zones, including onsite connectivity, networking, content delivery, and interactive installations.
• Lead the technical planning and delivery of activation elements, including hardware, software, UI/UX, connectivity, and content integration.
• Manage third-party vendors and internal tech teams to ensure timely setup, testing, and live event support.
• Proactively troubleshoot technical challenges during planning, load-in, live event days, and load-out.
• Maintain clear technical documentation: system diagrams, tech specs, inventories, and change logs.
• Ensure all activations deliver smooth, intuitive user experiences that align with the creative and brand vision.

MUST-HAVES:

• Ability to determine steps needed to take technical aspects of proposed activations from plan drawings and written concept to functional attendee/player interaction.
• Initiate and lead meetings with results driven agendas.
• Strong understanding of how AI, interactive UI, and trending tech integrate into live event activations.
• Experience with interactive user interfaces and activation technologies (e.g., immersive experiences, interactive installations).
• Proven track record managing technical logistics for live events, including hardware, software, and networking.
• Strong vendor management experience—able to align multiple parties toward shared technical goals.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in high-pressure, live-event environments.
• Strong documentation skills (system diagrams, IT asset inventories, technical specs).
• Understanding of FOH/BOH event infrastructure (e.g., onsite connectivity, content delivery).
• Strong client-facing communication skills; ability to translate technical details into clear, non-technical language when needed.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, ensuring seamless execution of technical elements.
• Previous experience working with cross-functional teams in a hybrid/remote environment.
• Technical competencies include a clear understanding of media servers, large scale video installations, transcoding, render farms, etc., Google Suite, Airtable (or similar), Excel, Slack, Dropbox, Box.
• Physical abilities include some travel (less than 20% of the year), ability to work long hours during event week + load-in (~13 days), ability to move easily through crowded venues.

RATE:

• $80 - $100 hourly DOE
• This is a part-time position for approximately 20 hours per week
