Ab Initio Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Ab Initio Developer with our client in the financial Industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.
 
 Responsibilities:

• Scope, estimate, plan, design, develop, test, and support data integration solutions
• Create detailed technical design documents and mapping specifications
• Design and develop dashboards, data manipulation, batch processing, data mining, and ETL pipelines into large-scale data marts
• Build and maintain reusable, scalable Ab Initio frameworks to manage a variety of data sources
• Work closely with business analysts and reporting teams to align data solutions with business needs
• Develop and tune SQL database components (queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions)
• Follow and enforce software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards and best practices.
• Conduct unit testing, quality analysis, and defect tracking
• Identify and eliminate project barriers; escalate issues as appropriate
• Coordinate with vendors or contractors as needed for project execution
• Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in ETL and data engineering

Required Qualifications: 

• Hands-on experience with Ab Initio development and key components (e.g., Rollup, Join, Partition by Key, Lookup, etc.)
• Strong experience in creating high-level and low-level designs, coding, and unit testing with Ab Initio
• Solid experience with SQL, including performance tuning, relational modeling, and procedural development
• Proficiency with UNIX scripting and Oracle PL/SQL
• Familiarity with other ETL tools such as Pentaho, Datastage, Informatica, etc.
• Experience in an Agile/SCRUM environment
• Ability to create ETL frameworks that scale to handle multiple, expanding data sources

Pay Range: $60-70
 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
